Repeat edits with a saved style template: about 90 seconds in a Fiklo test

A repeat edit using Fiklo’s 03 Retro style in landscape 16:9 took 88 seconds in a version 0.9.41 test. Styled editing had previously taken about twenty minutes. The change reuses a saved style renderer instead of asking the model to write it again for each recording.

That is a measured example with specific conditions. It is not a promise that every video will finish in ninety seconds. The first edit in a new style still needs the renderer to be written and checked.

Reuse the style without reusing the old recording

After a successful render, Fiklo saves the style’s renderer and reusable assets as a template. On the next recording, the model fills the new project’s scenes, cards and captions using that renderer.

The visual rules carry over. The recording-specific content changes. You still choose the useful takes and review the assembled video. A style template cannot decide whether your explanation is accurate or which performance you should keep.

Read the timing with its conditions

The 88-second run used an existing 03 Retro template for 16:9. An earlier review of thirty edits found that preparing visual treatments took between three and twenty-four minutes, with most of that time spent on model work.

A template must already support the requested format. If it does not, Fiklo takes the full authoring path. Completing a landscape edit does not by itself establish a ready portrait template. A first edit, another style or another recording length can take a different amount of time.

Styled editing uses a signed-in Claude Code installation and needs an internet connection. The saved renderer reduces repeated authoring work. It does not make the whole styled-editing process offline. Basic local editing is a separate path.

Custom styles share the mechanism, not a verified timing

Fiklo stores templates by style name. Custom style definitions supplied through MCP use the same template mechanism. The available evidence does not include a comparable 88-second benchmark for testers’ own styles.

In the checked release, the application’s style picker is still limited to the owner’s licence. Code that can accept a custom definition is not proof that every beta tester has the same controls available. This article therefore makes no ninety-second promise for arbitrary tester styles.

Watch the result before publishing, including both exports if you requested both formats. Advanced treatments can still need an editor. For recording preparation, read about choosing takes as you record. Use Projects to find and inspect the finished files.
